OneNote: Suggested Artifact Creation in Copilot Notebooks
Copilot Notebooks in OneNote now suggests artifacts to create, such as Word documents, Excel workbooks, and PowerPoint presentations, based on Microsoft 365 knowledge and the content in your notebook.
What changed
Select the suggestion and Copilot will generate the artifact.
Why it matters
Generated Word, Excel and PowerPoint artifacts inherit business data and therefore need permission, grounding and labeling validation.
Known limitations
- Availability, prerequisites and rollout scope remain authoritative in the linked Microsoft documentation.
Now check
- Confirm Copilot Notebooks licensing and rollout channel
- Generate Word, Excel and PowerPoint artifacts from a nonproduction notebook
- Validate permissions, grounding sources and sensitivity labels on generated files
