OneDrive: Document library views now available in OneDrive

Users can now work with SharePoint document library views directly from OneDrive.

What changed

In addition to switching between existing views, users can create and manage views to customize how library content is organized and displayed. This helps teams surface the information that matters most while staying within the OneDrive experience.

Why it matters

Creating and managing SharePoint library views from OneDrive changes the user workflow while existing permissions and audience behavior must remain intact.

Known limitations

  • Availability, prerequisites and rollout scope remain authoritative in the linked Microsoft documentation.

Now check

  • Pilot existing view switching and create or manage-view permissions
  • Confirm SharePoint library permissions and audience targeting are preserved
  • Validate custom views in OneDrive and native SharePoint before broad rollout
