Faster Win32 app delivery after Windows enrollment

Microsoft Intune Management Extension now checks for Windows app assignments immediately after the Enrollment Status Page (ESP) completes.

What changed

This reduces the delay before required Win32 apps that weren't installed during ESP begin installing on newly enrolled devices. For more information, see Intune Management Extension for Windows .

Why it matters

An immediate Intune Management Extension check after ESP reduces the gap before required Win32 apps outside ESP begin installing on new devices.

Known limitations

  • Availability, prerequisites and rollout scope remain authoritative in the linked Microsoft documentation.

Now check

  • Confirm the Win32 apps intentionally excluded from ESP
  • Pilot Autopilot enrollment and measure the post-ESP assignment check
  • Validate install order, detection rules, restart behavior and reporting
