Updated minimum supported version for iOS and iPadOS

Microsoft Intune will update its minimum supported operating-system version after Apple releases iOS and iPadOS 27.

What changed

Intune device management, the Company Portal, and app protection policies will require iOS/iPadOS 18 or later for standard supported scenarios. You'll be able to use Intune reports to identify affected devices and users and plan operating-system upgrades before the change.

Why it matters

Device-management changes can affect policy processing, reporting, app delivery or support workflows across managed endpoints.

Known limitations

  • Availability, prerequisites and rollout scope remain authoritative in the linked Microsoft documentation.

Now check

  • Inventory enrolled devices below the announced minimum OS
  • Plan upgrades before new enrollment is blocked
  • Validate Company Portal and management-agent support after upgrade
